Anna specialises in arts and media based social projects, making use of photography, video, theatre and other media to help disadvantaged and marginalised groups of people to reflect on and communicate their experiences.
Recently Anna has concentrated on participatory photography projects. The emphasis of these projects is not, primarily, on gaining photographic skills, even though this is an important aspect, but on the participants gaining a greater understanding of different aspects of the production and use of images. This emphasis gives the projects a strong focus on the issues of social integration, representation, perception and self-perception.
