1000 WORDS is a blog by Anna Kortschak, an erstwhile Australian wanderer, who takes photos and goes for the occasional cross-continental bike ride. At other times she organises arts and media based social projects in different parts of the world with different groups of people.
The adventure currently underway is a bicycle trip in the Americas. I set off from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, in June 2009 and hope to reach Ushaia, in Argentina, some day. For the moment, this blog consists largely of stories and photos from this trip.
My access to the internet is intermittent while I am travelling on my bike. So while I do try to post regularly I must confess to the practice of retro-blogging – and now that I have discovered that you can edit the time code of posts you aren’t even going to be able to tell.
