The blue car is famous in the Central American surf scene and is featured in various international surf magazines. It did still run when I first arrived in Santa Catalina but now it stands abandoned in front of the petrol station which hasn't sold petrol in the year that I have been here. It is possible that the car merely ran out of petrol.
