We set off down the highway in a group, slip streaming to minimise the effects of headwind and also hoping that as a single unit we are more visible and so a little less vulnerable to the passing traffic. The truck drivers, it must be said, are, in general, very considerate, slowing down and giving us a wide berth.
We are keen to investigate new food options and stop when-ever and where-ever we can to add to our culinary knowledge.
We arrive in Nueves Casas Grandes, a sizeable North Chihuahuan town with, we discover later, a nasty reputation for drug related violence*, and check into the Hotel California and seek out more food.
*Something like 14 000 people have been murdered or have gone missing in this area over the last 3 – 4 years.

Hi Anna!
Dinner looks nice.
We have that fish also here in Indo. It’s called “Ikan Mujahir”.
It is good to see that you’re riding with friends now!
Happy riding, Anna!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!
