Hi Lucie,

Sorry about that - I have trouble with linearity and dates and things... I thought I was clarifying it for people but maybe it's just more confusing.

I'm not sure about the mystery device, it does seem like it would make nice neat balls - but not for ice-cream, I think...

Hi Anna, have updated on your progress again, it took me a while to find out that the post about retro-blogging is actually not the LAST post of your travelog:-)
I think that mysterious device is either to make nice "balls" of rice on the plate, or to form ice cream. I have something like this at home but rarely use it:-)
I'm happy to read that you encountered such nice people in Whitehorse, and especially, that you met Renate and her family again. It's quite incredible, and it was meant to happen.
Take care and enjoy!

I'm interested to see that food is creeping into your accounts - I didn't think it would take long as you are such a foodie! I can imagine that pedalling hundreds of miles makes ones attention turn to promise of delicious food. The chocolate mousse sounds very good and I would like to try it, also the red lentil soup - good because it is quick and nourishing. You look great in the photo - you must be a ball of muscle now! Lots of love xxx

Yes, it is frightening thinking of fires again - our fire season is fast approaching (it seems so soon since Feb!) and preparations are already being put in place, Daylesford now being one of the hotspots in victoria. Your photos of smoke filled atmoshere are are eerily beautiful, especially the full moon night shot. It's great that you are getting some swimming and meeeting such hospitable, friendly people along the way on your own terms and can stay longer where you want - that makes it really worthwhile. Lots of love and take care xx
